The trips are run by Authentic Escapes, a private luxury travel club for curious travelers owned and operated by Anthony and Sandra McLemore. Authentic Escapes welcomes solo travelers, couples, and groups of friends on the trips. Select trips are open to children under 18. The couple owns Cottam McLemore Inc., a production company, and Travel Marketing & Media, a marketing and media agency in the travel industry. Anthony is an Emmy award-winning television producer and Sandra is a well-known travel TV host and news contributor with over 25 years in the travel industry. Sandra has the CEOs of the biggest and best luxury travel brands on speed dial and they are always quick to partner and support her trips and projects. The couple lives in Los Angeles with their 4-year-old son, Houston.

Luxury can mean different things to different people, and for us, it includes exceptional food, stunning accommodations, and one-of-a-kind, authentic experiences.

We do offer opportunities to upgrade to a high-end luxury experience, such as suites and business or first-class flights. Our trips feature 4 or 5-star accommodations. However, the choice to upgrade is up to you.

Our hosts, Sandra and Anthony understand this balance. While Anthony loves being social and engaging with many people, Sandra enjoys quieter moments and a bit more solitude. Sometimes they dine with others, and other times they prefer a private meal.

The choice is entirely yours. This is your journey, and you can customize your social interactions to fit what makes you most comfortable.

No. Our experiences are hosted and must be booked directly through us. This ensures you receive all the amenities and experiences curated specifically for our trip. You'll also receive all the communication about the experience.

You will still earn any loyalty points through our travel partner programs if you are a member. We encourage you to continue working with your favorite travel professional for your other trips. If you don't have a travel professional let us know! We can connect you with one to match your travel style.

Absolutely. Keep in mind some of our experiences are not designed for young children. Be sure to check the minimum ages before booking your trip.
